Triin Kukk is an artist whose work focuses on exploration of materials and observation of everyday life. While working with materials such as metal and minerals and using photography, she employs slow and hands-on processes to explore how place, memory, and material relate to each other.

In recent years, I’ve been collecting and working with leftover materials from tabletop industries, such as granite and marble. I find fragments in the streets of different cities, so called urban mining, as well as directly from the industries themselves. I also use discarded aluminum, which I cast in a rather archaic way.
